Happy Halloween!

Hey, so I was planning on doing a post tonight about my Halloween costume but I completely forgot to take pictures of what I wore. Whoops! I am such a forgetful person and with all the excitement of Halloween I forgot to take some pictures of what I wore and things. For Halloween this year I was a broken doll. I wore a black and white spotted skirt, a white vest top, a black and white cardigan, thick tights and black flats. I got make-up and hair inspiration from pictures I found on Google.

The picture I found that gave me inspiration
for my broken doll hair style. My hair was
in tight, spiral curls like this dolls hair.

The picture I found that gave me inspiration for my broken
doll make-up. My eye make-up was less extreme as I did not
wear as much white eyeliner and I did not use fake eyelashes.
The rest of my make-up was pretty much the same
but I did have my cracks and holes in different
places to the girl in this picture.

I hope you had spooktacular Halloween. I am going on a big shopping trip, to Blackpool, at the weekend with my family and one of my best friends, Lucy. I was thinking about doing a 'Day In Pictures' post full of pictures that show you where I went that day and what I did. If you would like to see that then follow this blog. I am sorry this was not much of a post and I am sorry I forgot to take pictures of my Halloween costume. I hope you enjoyed this post (even though it was only small). Speak to you soon.

October Favourites 2012!

Hey, so today I thought I would do my first monthly favourites post. It took me a while to pick a handful of things I have been loving this month but I got a (kinda) small list together of all the things I have loved this month. All together there are 11 things I have been loving this month. Over time I plan on adding a blog of the month as well as a YouTube channel of the month but for now I just have 5 categories: Make-Up Products Of The Month, Skin Care Products Of The Month, Body Products Of The Month, Read Of The Month, Song Of The Month, T.V. Program Of The Month and Film Of The Month. So yeah, lets get crack-a-lacking.

Make-Up Products Of The Month:

So, this month, I have 5 make-up products I have been loving.

The first make-up product I have been loving was featured in a recent haul. Its the 'Miss Sporty So Clear Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent'. I have been loving this product as it gives me good coverage, it tops my skin looking oily or shiny for longer than any other powder I have used and I think it is helping to make my skin less break-out prone. This product gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

The next make-up product is a blusher. It is the 'New York Colour Check Glow Blush in 655 Central Park Pink'. This blush is my everyday, go to blusher because it is a natural peachy pink colour and looks beautiful lightly brushed over the apples of my checks. I wear it most days and love it to bits. It goes with any make-up look and is perfect for me as I am not a fan of the bright blusher look. I have had it for ages and never reached for it until recently and I am so glad I did. I don't understand how this was just sat in my draw for ages and I never even knew how beautiful and lovely it was. So glad I discovered it and I am totally repurchasing it when I run out.

The pictures do not do this blush justice. When you are next in
a drugstore go a swatch it and if you don't see what I mean
you must be mad. Sorry for how messy these pictures are.

Next is a lip gloss I have been loving this month. It was featured in my first ever haul and since I bought it I have feel head over heels in love with it. It's the 'Rimmel London Stay Glossy Lip Gloss in 710 Diamond Dust'. I reach for this lip gloss every day as its not overly sparkly or sticky and is really easy to wear and pull off. I wear it to school most days as it gives me a pale, shiny nude lip and looks lovely and discreet. I think you should definitely buy it if you can get your hands on it.

My next favourite is a mascara. It's the 'Oriflame Beauty Lash Extreme Mascara in Black'. This mascara is amazing for length and gives your lashes loads of length. It also curls them really well and makes them look really defined all day. I got this mascara off eBay and love it. Its amazing and I think everyone should buy it. Lovely day-to-day mascara and makes you look more awake and bright. I think it gives you the length that fake lashes give you and makes it look like your eye lashes are super long and defined. I would recommend this mascara to everyone.

The last make-up product is a lipstick. I love lipsticks and I have been wearing this one a lot throughout autumn. I love brighter, darker lipsticks in autumn and this one has been a favourite of mine this autumn. It's the 'Maybelline New York Forever Metallic Lipstick in 44 Berry Bronze'. As the name suggests it is a berry colour with some bronze/gold undertones. I love it and think its a really beautiful colour for this autumn/winter season.

Skin Care Products Of The Month:

There is only 1 skin care product of this month and that product is a 'T-Zone Mattifying Moisturiser by The Beauty Parlour'. I have oily skin so this product is really good because it mattifies my skin while moisturising it. I love this product because it stops me breaking out, stops my skin from getting to oily or shiny and helps keep my skin looking smooth.

Body Product Of The Month:

I also only have 1 body product I have been loving this month and it is the 'Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Wild Scarlet'. I bought this last year when I was in the America and I never really used it until recently. It is meant to smell of: Juicy Apple, Lilly And Sheer Musk'. I think it smells very sweet and warm and that is why I have been loving it for the transition between summer and autumn. I am almost half way through the 250ml bottle and I am scared of it running out so I think I am going to have to cut down on using that this winter because, if I keep using it, it will run out. I am scared of it running out because we can't get it in the UK and I love it to bits. If you live any where with a 'Victoria's Secret', definitely go and buy this.

Read Of The Month:

My read of the month this month has been 'Uglies by Scott Westerfeld'. I have only just started reading this book but am in love with it already. The whole concept of the book fascinates me and I can't wait to finish this book and move on to the other books in the series.

Song Of The Month:

My song of the month this month is '212 by Azealia Banks featuring Lazy Jay. I love this song as its very up beat and, every time I hear it, it makes me want to get up and dance. I have had it on repeat while writing this blog post and I love it to bits. Definitely go and check it out if you have never heard of it before.

T.V. Program Of The Month:

My T.V. program of this month was the 'Pretty Little Liars Halloween Special'. It was scary, fast moving and thrilling, just like 'Pretty Little Liars' always is. There was SO much going on and, at the end, you were left confused and fulfilled at the same time. If you have never watched 'Pretty Little Liars' I think you should definitely go and watch it. Start at the start and watch it all in order otherwise it might confuse you. By the way, the costumes were AMAZING in this episode.

Film/Movie Of The Month:

My film of the month this month is 'Horrible Bosses'. I think its so funny and, in some ways, very relatable. Everyone has that person/s in their life they would (sometimes) love to kill. It is rated a 15 and be aware that there is sexual content in this movie. But I do think its funny and recommend this movie to people of the right age.

So, that's the end of my first ever monthly favourites post. Please follow this blog if you liked this. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will talk to you next time.

Quotes I Love: Beauty, Love And Life

Hey, so today I thought I would do a post on the quotes I love. Over the last few weeks, I have been finding lots of quotes, about beauty, love and  life, that have been really standing out to me and that I have fallen in love with. So, because of this, today I thought I would do a little post containing a handful of the quotes I love.

My One Chocolate A Day Rule

Hey, so today I thought I would do a 'Lifestyle' post. As Halloween and Christmas are quickly approaching, I thought I would share a little rule I have made up for myself. It's called the 'One Chocolate A Day Rule'.

Over Halloween and Christmas I eat a lot of chocolate. They come out with Halloween and Christmas chocolate and something in me just can't seem to say no. Is it just me that has this? I am not exactly size 6 to begin with and Christmas and Halloween don't help that. I won't lie, I end up eating to much and putting on weight and then never getting rid of it for summer. Every Christmas I seem to be bigger than I was the year before. It has to stop but there is a problem. I don't want to put on to much weight but I still want to eat what everyone else is eating over Halloween and Christmas and enjoy myself. So I came up with the 'One Chocolate A Day Rule'.

It is pretty simple really. I am only allowed to eat one chocolate product a day. Simple really but there are conditions. It is all to do with the size of the chocolate product. Here is what I mean:
            -1 Chocolate bar = 1 chocolate product.
-1 slice of chocolate cake = 1 chocolate product.
            -1 chocolate biscuit = 1/2 of a chocolate product.
-1 chocolate out of a box of chocolates = 1/3 of a chocolate product.
-1 advent calender chocolate = 0 chocolate product.

See what I mean? If its small (for example a advent calender chocolate), it does not count as a chocolate product. If its something a bit bigger (for example a chocolate out of a box of chocolates), it is 1/3 of a chocolate product. A bit bigger (for example a chocolate biscuit), it is 1/2 of a chocolate product. A full sized chocolate bar or decent sized slice of chocolate cake is 1 chocolate product.

This is a good rule for me because sometimes I will eat more than 1 or 2 chocolate products. This will hopefully make me think more about what I am eating and what I have ate that day. You can do this kind of rule with anything: cake, sweets, crisps, anything really.

I hope this tip will help you over the next couple of months. I am sorry this post is only short. I am going to start uploading more regularly. I am thinking a 'Lifestyle' post every weekend, a beauty/fashion post on a Tuesday and a beauty/fashion post on a Thursday. What do you think? Let me know in the comments. Please follow this blog. I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it and I will talk to you soon.

Mini Haul #2

Hey, so I went on a little shopping trip to my local city, at the weekend, with my family. I decided to do a post about what I got as I went to Lush! In the 'Get To Know Me' tag I did, I said that my favourite shop was Lush even though I had only been once. I also said that there was meant to be one opening up soon in my local city and when I got there, on Sunday, it was open. I only got 1 thing from lush so I am also showing you a couple of other little things I picked up. So, lets get crack-a-lacking (who even says that anymore? me obviously...) with what I bought:

So, the first place I went was Boots. I needed a new powder so badly as winter is closing in fast. The 'Collection 2000' powder I had was FAR to dark for me so I wanted one which was my shade for winter. I go seriously pale in winter so I was looking around Boots for a while. I looked at the 'Rimmel London Stay Mate' powder but decided against it as, in this Boots, they did not have my shade. I looked around for a while and was planning on leaving when I spotted the 'Miss Sporty' section. I already have a couple of lipsticks for 'Miss Sporty' and I really like them so I went to look there. And then I found it... my perfect powder. The 'Miss Sporty So Clear' powder. I LOVE it! It comes in this cute baby blue compact. You open it up and it comes with a little sponge and a mirror. It is meant to have 4 anti-blemish actions in it, it is mean to keep up to 7 hours healthy looking skin and it is meant to be dermatologically tested for young skin. I have used it a few times and, I have to say, so far I love it. Its really light weight, does not make your skin look or feel 'cakey' on your skin. I got it in the shade '001 Transparent' and, when I apply it, it comes out with very little colour and is pretty transparent. It costs £2.99 and is a serious bargain in my opinion. I am 100% loving this product and I will definitely be repurchasing this product again.

I have a serious sweet tooth. I admit it. Deserts, sweets, chocolate, cake... I love them all but, when sweets are concerned, I can't eat many of them. Actually, I can only eat about 20% of the sweets I would have ate 3 years ago. These are the moments when being a vegetarian sucks. There are these sweets. Percy Pigs. They are only found in Marks & Spencer's and it cost the best part of £2.00 for a 170g. I used to love them. When I was younger, they were a treat. You knew you had done something right when you got them. Then, when I turned a vegetarian, I had to stop eating them. I was sad. They were nice. So, I am in M&S (Marks & Spencer's for you that don't live in the UK) and I am just looking in the sweet section with my little brother and I see them. The best thing since sliced bread, Veggie Percy's. The new, gelatin free Veggie Percy Pigs. I nearly died.  Obviously I got a packet... and, my god, were they were good. So good. I know you can get other vegetarian versions of sweets but nothing can beat these. It does not matter if your a vegetarian or not, you have to try Percy Pig's. They will change your life... I swear.

Lush. Lush is so lush. The smells, the colours, it wins the award for being the best shop ever hands down. For years, the closest one to where I live was 30 minutes-1 hour away. Which sucked. And then, the wonderful people at Lush decided to put one in my local city. Hallelujah. So, obviously, I went and got one of the most talked about Christmas products they do. The 'Snow Fairy' shower gel. Oh My God. That's all I can say about this product. Oh My God. It smells incredible! Sweets and candyfloss. Maybe a hint of pear. Very sweet. Very, very, very sweet. Also kinda expensive. £3.50 for 100g. But its worth every penny. It's amazing, it's gorgeous, it's LUSH!

So, that's it for my little, mini haul. I hoped you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it. If you like these please follow my blog as I am going to start doing a lot more blog post's. I will talk to you all next time.
