Jess's Jabbers: Job Hunting, Twilight Fan-Fiction, 1000 Views And Exam Jitters!

Hey!
I am sorry my posts have been few and far between recently. I have no excuse really. All I can say is school is killing me and job hunting sucks. Forgive me?

I have started looking for a job. My first ever job. I have been handing out CV's and looking online for weekend jobs in my town but, so far, I have had no luck. All I have had is a hair dressers saying that they might be looking for someone soon and, if they think I would be good for it, they will give me a call. But I am not giving up. I am determined to get a job before summer rolls around, so wish me luck.

I have an obsession with Twilight fan-fiction. Strangely enough, this is not because I love twilight. Actually I am not that much of a fan anymore. I loved the books for a while but the films kinda wrecked the magic of it for me. Recently, though, I have an obsession with Twilight fan-fiction. I really love story's about the mafia because I am fascinated by the mafia, for some reason. I have a little bank going of story's I want to read and I really love reading them. All I can say is don't knock it until you've tried it.

I have recently reached 1000 views for this blog. I know that that's not a lot for some people but for me its more then I ever thought I would get. I just want to say thank you to ever one who has viewed my blog. When I started this blog in October I never thought I would even get 100 views never mind 1000. So thank you for that.

I have a few exams coming up in the next 2 ish months. I am most worried about my Science exams but I also have my catering practical exam as well. Science is not my strongest point and, although my target grade is a 'B', I have opted to do the foundation exam. I am stressing out about it like mad and am extremely worried that I am going to 'bomb' all of them. Although I have exams I am going to keep trying to post on this blog as regularly as I can.

Sorry this post was so short, just wanted to drop in to tell you that I am not dead.

The 'I Love Music' Tag!

Hey!
Today I thought I would do the 'I Love Music' tag because, basically, I love music. Just as quick note you can listen to each song I mention by clicking on the place where I mention it.

The 'I Love Music' Tag!

1. Why do you like music?
I like music because it relax's me and makes me happy. Also, some song lyrics inspire me and others relate perfectly to some situations in my life.

2. What song inspires you?

3. What song makes you feel sexy?

4. Whats your favourite song of all time?

5. Which song is your guilty pleasure?

6. What song makes you cry?
This song is about a little boy who died of cancer. He was born 3 months after my little brother and my little brother also battled with cancer (thankfully he won that battle). Because of all of this, this song is very close to my heart.

7. What song do you hate?
I can't think of a song that I hate. So I am just going to assume I don't have one.

8. What song reminds you of your childhood?
The Tide Is High by Atomic Kitten.

9. Favourite Genre Of Music?
My favourite genre of music would be a mix between pop, rap, dance and alternative music.

10. Favourite Song Right Now?
Lollipop by Lil Wayne.

11. If one song was to describe you, what song would it be?
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper.
I picked this song because, when I get asked this question, it is the first song that comes to mind. I think I am an extremely bubbly person who is never to serious. I think I live to have fun and I am my happiest when I am around people.

What song would describe you?

School Rules Are Stupid!

Hey!
I have been in the UK education system for 11 years now and, to be honest, it sucks.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy learning. The problem is not the education, it is the way we do it.
The depressing brick walls, plain brown paint, plastic chairs and stupid rules are the parts of our education system that I don't understand .
No make-up, no non-natural hair colours, no nail varnish, no non-black shoes, no earrings that cover your ear lobes or dangle, no phones, no chewing gum. It is a load of bullshit. Please explain to me how my nails being purple is going to distract the rest of my school from their education? Or how my white converse are going to damage the schools reputation? How is my dip-dyed hair going to make me fail my GCSE's?
What gets to me most is our 'no phones' rule.
When I was in year 8 (aged 13), I got permission to go to the bathroom during period 5 Religious Education. To get into the bathroom in lesson's, you have to get the key from reception. So, I strolled over to reception and ask for the key and, the lovely but slightly dumb, receptionist tells me that there is already a girl in the bathroom with the key. She then tells me to go to the bathroom because, as she said, there is already a girl there. I go to the bathroom and the girl who is in there is in one of the stalls. I go into one of the stalls not making any noise (I don't like using the bathroom with other people it freaks me out (don't ask)). I come back out, wash my hands and then start to look for the key to lock the door on my way out. But I can't find the key. I just assume she is still in one of the stalls and head for the door. But the doors locked. I then check the stalls to see if she is still here (I thought that maybe a teacher could have locked the door or something) but she is not here. Then it dawns on me, I was locked in. I banged on the door for a while after I realised that it was last lesson and the cleaners would not be coming till 6pm to clean the bathroom. Obviously no one heard me banging on the door because everyone was in lessons. Then it dawned on me, I had my phone. I could ring the school office and tell them what happened. They would then send someone to get me out of the bathroom. This was a great plan until I remembered that I did not know the school's telephone number. So I came up with a plan. I rung my mum, told her what happened and asked her to ring the school to tell them what happened and where I was. About 5 minutes after I rung my mum, 2 office members come running up to the door to unlock it. After they unlocked it they started were asking is I was okay and if I needed to sit down and have a drink of water. I swear these bitches thought I was dying. I politely passed and went back to my R.E lesson where I had to explain to my teacher and my class where I was for over half the lesson.
In that situation my phone 'saved' me. If I had not of had my phone I would have been in there till 6pm and then would have had to try and explain to people why my mum had sent out a search party to look for me (my mum is a bit over protective). The fact that school has a 'no phones' rule is stupid to me. I know schools are meant to be 'safe' places but news over the years has shown that sometimes they are not.
What school rules do/did you think are/were stupid?

Jess's Jabbers: Easter Sunday!

Hey!
I know, I have not posted for over a week. I did not post on Sunday and Wednesday. I know, I am sorry, please forgive me?
There was no real reason for me not posting so I won't give you some lame-ass excuse. All I will say is that it was the last week of the school term, I am in the first year of my GCSE's, I had a lot of coursework to catch up on and I was kinda... (how do I put this?) done? You know what I mean right? When your just tired of something and you just need a break? That's how I felt at the end of that term.
Anyway, that is not the topic of today's 'Jess's Jabbers'. It's Easter Sunday! Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it and Happy Sunday to everyone who doesn't.

My Easter is pretty much the same every year.
We get woke up at 10 A.M and then spend the next hour running round our house looking for eggs that my mum hid the night before. It is basically our own mini Easter egg hunt.
After we have found all the big, medium and small eggs, we then pick our eggs. All the big eggs go in the middle and we each take it in turns to pick the eggs that we want. We all get the same amount of eggs but, if there is a egg that you really want, you make it your first choice. We then share the medium and small eggs out equally.

Then, at around 2 P.M, we all sit down and have a roast dinner. Roast dinners are a rarity in our house as we only have them 3 times a year (Christmas Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday), so getting one is pretty special.
We spend the rest of the day eating chocolate and watching crappy T.V.
What do you do on Easter Sunday?
