My Life In Letters: Part 1!

Hey!
As you can probably tell from my recent blog posts my life has been pretty busy recently (you can read about the chaos that is my life here). Also from my recent blog posts, you can probably tell that I have kind of gone of make-up recently. Now, don't get me wrong it is not that I don't love it anymore, it's just that I don't have time for it right now.
As I have lost my spark for make-up, I am going to do another 'lifestyle' post today. As this is my 'My Life In Letters' post, I am basically going to go through the alphabet and name some thing that is in my life/important to me that starts with that letter. So, lets get crack-a-lacking.

My Life In Letters!

A- America.
One of my biggest life goals/dreams is to move and live in the USA.

B- Blue.
Tiffany Blue is my favourite colour.

C- Coffee.
One of my biggest dislikes is coffee.

D- Dancing
I love to dance.

E- England.
I was born and raised in England. I have lived in the same town in the north-west of England my whole life.

F- Feet.
I believe everyone had that one body part that freaks them out and, for me, that body part is feet.

G- Grease.
This was the first musical I ever watched. It is and always will be one of my favourite movies of all time.

H- Helvellyn.
In my school we have 'house' systems. Kinda like in Harry Potter with Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, except ours are not as cool as theirs and each house is named after a famous mountain in the Lake District. I am in Helvellyn which basically just means I wear a blue stripped tie and support Helvellyn teams in events and competition.

I- Insects.
I refuse to put a picture for this one because just looking at a picture of them makes me cringe. Basically, I really really dislike insects.

J- Jessica.
Although I refer to myself as Jess, my actual name is Jessica. Jessica is a Hebrew name and means 'God Beholds'. A fun fact for you here: my mum was going to call me Alice but decided not to after being told that, in our family, the name Alice is cursed with bad luck.

K- Kors, Michael Kors.
Something that has been on my 'wish list' for a while now is a Rose Gold Watch from Michael Kors. One day, I will own one.

L- Lip Products.
Lip products are, by far, my favourite make-up item. Just under half of my make-up collection is lip products and, although I have loads of them, if I buy a make-up item, I tend to buy a lip product.

M- Music.
I am a music person. Music is a big part of my life and it speaks to me. Over the years, I have had lessons to learn loads of different instruments and have been in a few of musicals. If I am not listening to music, I am singing.

I have split this up into 2 parts as it is a pretty long post all together. I will put part 2 up in the near (ish) future so keep your eyes peeled for that.

R.I.P Talia Joy Castellano, Just Keep Swimming Beautiful!

Hey!
On Tuesday the 16th of July 2013, the world lost an amazing, inspiring and talented young girl.
Talia Joy Castellano (taliajoy18 on YouTube) sadly lost her six year long battle with cancer on Tuesday. I was a lover of her channel and I felt like I had to do some kind of post to honor her. She inspired me so much, had make-up skills that I can only dream of having and touched so many peoples lives. She was taken away far to soon but, in the short time she graced this world, she did so much. A beautiful tribute song has been put up in her honor that I am sure you would all like to check out so I will link it here.

The 'Beauty VS Brains' Tag!

Hey!

So, I know I have not blogged for like a week and a half. School is getting on top of me and, at the moment, that is my main priority. Alas though, not all is lost, as I break up for summer on Friday and, as my summer job hunt is failing completely, I will probably be spending a lot of time on here.

Anyway, as I still have a mountain of coursework on my bed that needs finishing for tomorrow, I thought I would do a tag. I stumbled across the 'Beauty VS Brains' tag last night and thought it would be perfect for my next blog post, so here it is.

The 'Beauty VS Brains' Tag!

1. What Is Your Favourite Book?
I have 2 favourite books: 'He Is Just Not That Into You by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccilo' and the 'Hush Hush Saga by Becca Fitzpatrick'.

2. Favourite Quotations?
I have 2 favourite quotations:
- 'I believe everything happens for a reason. People change so you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you will eventually learn to trust no one but yourself and, sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can fall together' by Marilyn Monroe.
- 'A girl should be two things; classy and fabulous' by Coco Chanel

3. English or Maths?
English.

4. Science or Art?
Art.

(I have skipped question 5 as I could not think of an answer but the question was: 'Name 5 albums or artists that have changed your life?')

6. What Is/Was Your Favourite And Least Favourite Subject In School?
My favourite subject is a toss up between: English, History and Catering. My least favourite subject is probably maths, although I am really good at maths.

7. Favourite 'Celebrity With A Brain'?
I am a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson. I think they are both really down to earth and genuine people. This makes them have a brain in my book as they don't follow every other celebrity and they don't let fame go to there head like some celebrity's do.

8. If you could study anything anywhere, what would you study and where would you study it?
I would pick to study musical theatre and I would study it in Chicago because my favourite musical is 'Chicago'.

9. What is your 'nerdy little secret'?
My nerdy little secret is that I am a massive book worm. I love to read and I spend a lot of time doing it.

10. Favourite beauty 'guru' that you admire for more than just there love of beauty and fashion?
I admire Lauren Conrad and Gok Wan for there business skills. Although they started in the beauty and fashion industries, they have both made a name for themselves and now have lines of clothing, accessories, glasses and books.

11. If Your Blog Wasn't Focused On Beauty, What Would It Be Focused On?
I would probably have focused it on motivation, advice, crime or cooking.

12. Name Some Things Your Obsessed With That Some People Would Find 'Geeky' or 'Strange'?
I have an obsession with Twilight Fanfiction, Space and Astronomy.

13. Name 5 People (Including Friends And Family) Who Inspire You?
My younger brother Harry inspires me as he won his battle with Cancer. Coco Chanel inspires me because she believed in class and style which are things I try to have in my life. Nick Vujicic inspires me because, although he has no limbs, he teaches people how to be happy and how to love themselves. The Suffragettes inspire me because they dedicated there lives to getting rights for women and, without those rights, I would not be in education and I would not have the right to work or vote. Adele inspires me because she does not let people's comments about her weight put her down and she makes the world see that there is more to a person then just there physical appearance.

(I missed out question 14 as-well because I don't believe I have an intellectual soul mate. Question 14: Who Is Your Intellectual Soul Mate?)

Who inspires you?

Jess's Jabbers: School Trip To Chester, Panic Attacks, Exams And Life!

Hey!

Sorry I have not wrote in a while. Just to give you a heads up before I start, this is probably going to be a long, rambling post. If you get through the post there will be a treat at the end (I know, I am so generous).

When I started my blog, I promised my self I would be honest when writing it. I promised myself I would make it like my own little secret 'world' where I could vent all my troubles, annoyances and loves. A place where I would not get judged on what I like or dislike, a place just for me. Just for my thoughts and feelings. So that is what I am going to do today.

Recently: I have finished my year 10 mock exams, started having intense panic attacks, had a weekend away in Chester with school as part of my Travel And Tourism course work, started staying behind for at least an hour after school most week days to get all my year 10 coursework done before the end of June and am currently sat in my room (because it is raining outside), eating Mars Planets, on a Thursday afternoon as my school is shut because the teachers are on strike. I know what your thinking, 'That's a long list Jess, please tell me more about your troubles because that is obviously a good way to waste of the next 10 ish minutes of my life'. I would tell you more, only I am not sure where to start. Any suggestions?

I guess I should start with the so called 'elephant in the room'. My panic attacks. They started last Wednesday (19th of June 2013). I was sitting in my English class when it started. I felt like I could not breath  towards the end of the class. We had packed away and were standing behind our chairs waiting for the bell to go for lunch, when they got worse. I just remember running to the window and sticking my head out of it, like I was searching for oxygen. I started shaking and crying hysterically when the teacher sent someone to get someone for me from the office. After that I just got more symptoms and the panic attacks got worse. I will spare you the details as I don't particularly want to talk about it myself. That day I had 5 pretty intense, serious panic attacks in the space of about 1 hour. Some lasted longer than others and panic attacks 3 and 4 were the worst. In the end, I got sent home mid-panic attack and was pretty shaken up for the rest of the day. The worst thing about them was that while I was having them, I felt really disconnected from the whole thing. I felt like a stranger looking onto the situation rather than the victim of the situation. Since then, I have had about 4 panic attacks. 2 of these panic attacks have been in the same English class I had my first, most serious ones. I have put them down to stress and exhaustion but, if I am honest, I honestly feel that it is so much more than that. I have done research and am beginning to think I have 'panic disorder'. I guess I will just have to see how things go over the next few weeks before I go to a doctor about it

Okay, now that is out of the way, I feel like I can move on and discuss lighter topics.
As far as my exams go, I think they went pretty well to be honest. I won't be over confident and say I got all A grades for everything because, lets be honest here, there is no way I did. However, I honestly believe I did enough to at least pass all of them. Most of them were mock exams so my school are doing a make shift results day in about 2 weeks. My 3 science exams, unfortunately, were not mocks. When picking your GCSE options for year 10 and 11, there are 2 different science options, Triple Science or Double Science. Triple Science is classed as one of the 4 options you pick for year 10 and 11 as part of your GCSE's. Double Science is the science that, by law, you have to do. Double science does not count as 1 of your 4 GCSE options as the law states that you have to do it but, instead of getting 3 GCSE's for science like you do if you pick Triple Science, you only get 2 GCSE's. If you do Double Science, which is what I do, you get 1 GCSE for year 10 and 1 for year 11. So, as it is the end of year 10, I did my 3 science exams (1 chemistry exam, 1 physics exam and 1 biology exam) for my year 10 science GCSE. Again I think these went pretty well but I can't get more than a grade C as I took the foundation paper. The only way I can get more than a C is by my course work bumping the grade up. I won't fine out my science result until August though.

I also still have a load of course work to get done before the end of June. The crap thing is its all on my account at school. This means I have to do it at school and can't put in on a pen-drive to take home because I don't have the right computer software to do it all on. This basically results in me spending most of my time after school trying to get it all finished. This sucks but I guess it just has to be done.

Last weekend (21st and 22nd of June 2013) I spent 2 days in the historic city of Chester. As part of my Travel and Tourism course work, I had to plan a trip to a famous UK destination and then take the trip that I planned. My class picked Chester and we have spent the last 10 months planning our trip. We finally took it and I had a really good time. At the start of this post I promised that if you got the the end there would be a treat. That treat is to see my 'amazing' photos that I took of the weekend. I know, how lucky are you lot? Very lucky would be the answer to that question. By the way, the first 10 are random photos from Chester Zoo.

Chester Zoo sells the coolest suitcase EVER!

It's official. I am now a Monsters University student!

Mike Wazowski had braces!

Minions love me (ignore the random people in the back ground)!

Blurry picture of the clock in Chester! Did you know it is the second most famous clock in the world? Any guesses about the first?

My future home right there! I loved it so much I had to take a picture of it while I was on the River Dee.

Well done for getting to the end. High fives to you!

Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Premiere Mini Review/Thoughts!

Hey!
As I live in the UK, I have to wait 24 hours after Pretty Little Liars it is shown in the USA before I can watch it. I watch it online the night after it is released and I am a HUGE fan.

I have just finished watching the season 4 premiere which aired on the 11th of June 2013 on ABC Family. If you follow PLL, you will know that the episode (named 'A is A-l-i-v-e') was an episode full of many questions and few answers. You got some answers to questions you left behind with season 1 and think of new questions that seem to have no logical answers.

So today I have decided to vent some of my thoughts on the episode into a blog post. Just before you start reading, I just want to let you know that there will be spoilers in this so, if you are not up to date on PLL, go catch up and then come back.

PLL Season 4 Premiere - 'A is A-l-i-v-e' : My thoughts/mini review!

-Quick thought from season 3: What was Cece packing that was red? Maybe it was a red coat?

-There was a pig in the trunk. So, how come Detective Wilden's body was found there as well? Was it in the car and the girls missed it? Or was it placed there after the girls found the car?

-Mona did not push Ian from the bell tour in Season 1 but she does not know who did. Maybe red coat?

-There was 2 people dressed as the queen of hearts on the train in the Halloween episode. Mona caught them on tape. 1 was Detective Wilden, Mona says the other was Melissa (Spencer's older sister). But was it?

-The Queen of Hearts put Aria in the box with Garrett.

-Toby saw a red coat in the ruins of the burned down cabin but when he came back, with Spencer, it was gone.

-After Aria imagines Ezra getting arrested for sleeping with his student, she decides it is best if they start dating other people.

-Mona meet Cece in Radley and thought she was Alison but she does not remember what they talked about.

-Mrs DiLaurentis is back in Rosewood and has become extremely creepy. I also share my first name with this character as her name is Jessica DiLaurentis.

-Where is Caleb? I am not buying the whole 'gone to see his mum and has bad phone reception' thing.

-Why does Detective Wilden have Hanna's mums phone? They slept together in like Season 1, I would be surprised if he had her number never mind her phone.

-Mrs DiLaurentis claims Jason is down south fixing up his grandma's house. If he is, why did he just disappear when he was meant to be in hospital after falling in a lift? I am not buying the cover story, sorry.

-How did Jenna burn her hand? Maybe in a fire?

-Who was in the black veil at the funeral? Hanna's mum maybe? Or was it red coat?

-Who was wearing the black veil/burnt mask at the end? Jenna? Or maybe Melissa?

-Was the person wearing the black veil at the church the same one who was in it at the end? Was 'A' at Detective Wilden's funeral?

Do you have any thoughts on the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Premiere?

I Found My Coke Bottle!

Hey!
If you live in the UK, you will know that at the moment Coca-Cola are doing this thing. 'Share Your Coke With (insert name here)' has been put on all their cans and bottles. And, so it began.
Ever since they started this, I have been on a search for my name and, for weeks, I have had no luck. Until yesterday.
I was in 'Tesco' buying a smoothie, when I walked past the coke bottles. And there, looking right at me, right at the front, was my beloved coke bottle.
So, without further ado, I present to you my 'Share A Coke With Jessica' Coke bottle.

Coca-Cola have an official list of all the names on the UK bottles/cans and you can see if your name is on the list by clicking here.
Have you found your name yet?
